Bugs bite from school on 24th Apr '15

Missy came home with multiple bug bites all over her face and eye area after school on Friday and we have no idea how did she get it as we have checked with the teacher and apparently she is the only unfortunate one.

It seems harmless as she doesn't complain of any pain or itch but it does causes her self confidence level to shaken as Missy wanted to give her favourite ballet class a miss. Grandma managed to convince Missy to still go ahead with the class despite the bites showing so prominently on her face .

Armed with the knowledge on Nutritional Immunology, I looked at this as a form of allergy that flared up from the bites from some unknown bugs so I gave her a pellet of Orchestra to take in the evening.

The allergy reaction had come down by 3rd day without any medication!
Our immune systems is truly our body's best doctor. By nourishing our immune systems with the right nutrients, our body will be able to do the cleansing process more effectively on its own.

Lou Hei with a twist

Chinese Lunar New Year is the time gatherings with lots of feasting and not forgetting Lou Hei with Yu Sheng (aka raw fish salad). This year, we decided to give the Yu Sheng a twist and DIY using more healthier choose.
HUAT AH!
Here's wishing everyone a Happy & Prosperous Lunar New Year  !!

Recipe serves 6-8

Sauce

  • EverNew (Orange) - 2 sachets
  • Orchestra - 2 pellets
  • Blended Cooking oil (macadamia nut & perilla seed oil) - 3tsbp
  • Honey (optional)

Main Ingredients

  • Radish, skin peeled x 1
  • Cucumber, skin peeled x 1
  • apple, skin peeled x 1
  • carrot, skin peeled x 1
  • Crackers, 1 packet (you may choose to make your own using fried wanton skin)
  • Abalone (Vegetarian may opt for mushrooms to give the same texture)

Seasonings

  • Ground Cinnamon, 1tsp (or 5-spices powder)
  • Lemon, x 1/2
  • Chia Seeds, 1tbsp
  • Pine Nuts, 1tbsp

What's so great about the sauce?

Serves as a nutritious drink as well which can efficiently cleanse and detox the intestinal tract. It also aids in weight management which is great during the CNY period without having to worry about bursting your waistline.
Contains only Orange, Banana, Oats & Psyllium Husk

Orchestra - Peach
Cleansing effects on the liver, lowers blood pressure, cholesterol, inhibits histamine release and promote bone mass. Awesome especially if we are staying up late in the night during the festive seasons with the feasting.
Contains Kumazasa, Ashitaba & Platcodon Root

It has a nice nutty flavour which further enhance the salad dressing. Has very high in Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio. It is suitable for all types of cooking as it has a high boiling point of 210-250C.
